The development of OpenIndiana is focused on the  Openindiana hipster rolling-release distribution.

While previous development releases (/dev) were produced by a release engineering from a different software consolidations, a unified build system oi-userland, is used now to build Openindiana hipster (/hipster), as explained on Building with oi-userland and Github page oi-userland .

The instructions for Building the Operating System have links to the active source repositories as well as old (/dev) consolidation repositories.
