TODO for the next snapshot (after 2014.07.01)

  • Update OpenJDK, fix https://github.com/joyent/pkgsrc/issues/195
  • Update python to 2.7.8
  • Update FF to 24.6.0esr
  • Update TB to 24.6.0
  • Update GCC to 4.8.3
  • Update clang to 3.4.2
  • Remove Perl 5.10 (Depends on updating illumos-gate required Perl version)
    • Recompile perl 5.16 without -Dperl_static_inline="static" (possibly breaks ABI)
    • Switch /usr/perl5/bin/perl to perl 5.16

TODO list and some ideas which could be good to do in longer perspective (cherry-picking)

  • Add Ruby 1.9.3-p551 
  • Add OpenOffice 4.1.1
  • Update to NVIDIA 340.46
  • Add Python 3.4.x w/modules
  • Port libvirt
  • Rebuild nwam-manager

  • Migrate JDS (GNOME 2.32.1) components to oi-userland (List of migrated specs)

  • Add fuse and some fuse modules (e.g., ntfs, ssh, ext4, xfs)
  • Add support for DilOS-branded (dpkg) zone

  • Rebuild developer/build/make with GCC

  • Create binary compatible library/motif package
  • Make oi-userland buildable with clang

  • Include GCC on Live DVD
